A Clockwork Orange Journal Entry #6

Notes from A Clockwork Orange movie:
1.) The camera is zooming away from Alex, in order to capture the lifestyle of Alex and his three droogs.
2.) The high angle shot shows how weak the bum on the street is.
3.) The series of long shots and beautiful music, capture the way the crooks cause mischief, yet they think it is nothing but a stroll through the park.
4.) The track dolly towards Alex's face during his driving session with his droogs, captures how crazy Alex is.
5.) The reaction shot of Alex listening to the lady sing Beethoven's 9th, shows how much he loves the song.
6.) The long shot of Alex walking, shows how lonely he is.
7.) Alex's room is full of sexual illustrations because his character is destructive and addicted to sexual arousal.
8.) The light focusing on Beethoven shows how Alex has a lot of inspiration from Beethoven.
9.) The track shot moving backwards, while Alex walks through the shop shows the colorful scenery of the setting Alex is in.
10.) The close up shot of Alex's droog shows how he is standing up to Alex.
11.) The low angle shot of Alex shows how dominant he is after beating up his droogs.
12.) The high angle shot of Alex's last victim shows how vulnerable she is.
13.) The close up of the milk bottle is somewhat ironic to the story, because Alex and his droogs put drugs in their milk, and Alex has been hit in the head with the milk. This shows that his own entertainment leads to his downfall.
14.) The low angle/POV of Alex shows how dominant the people standing in front of Alex are.
15.) An over the shoulder shot of the prison guard/focusing on Alex.
16.) Close up shot of the priest preaching to the prisoners.
17.) Reaction shots of prison guard and Alex while a man blows kisses to Alex.
18.) Mid shot of Alex thinking.
19.) Track dolly moving backwards as Alex and the priest talk about an easier way to get out.
20.) There is a long shot of the people who created Ludovico's Technique walking towards Alex's jail cell.
21.) Reaction shot of prison guard, as Alex is taken away for preparation of Ludovico's Technique.
22.) The camera zooms in on the experimental serum that will be giving to Alex.
23.) Over the shoulder of nurse and Alex.
24.) Extreme close up shot of needle going into the experimental serum.
25.) Close up of Alex having lid locks on his eyes.
26.) Reaction shot of Alex watching scenes from the Holocaust.
27.) Reaction shot of prison guard listening to a man speak about Alex's transformation.

36.) The camera zooms in on Alex, showing he is going to kill himself.

39.) Long shot of Alex messing around with a female and being encouraged by Dickens people.
